The Nigerian Army denied allegations of potential war crimes brought by the International Criminal Court, insisting on a lack of credible backing on the claim against them. The Army spokesman further added that contrary to reports, the Army in the North-East has been professional in their conduct. In a statement made by Amnesty International, the ICC was called upon to investigate the Army, as they were they were shielding the misuse power by senior officers in the course of prosecuting the Boko Haram.
