
Troops Repel Boko Haram Terrorists from Permeating Adamawa
Troops of the Nigerian Army on Monday 4th January reportedly repelled attempts by Boko Haram Terrorists to invade Shuwa Town in Michika LGA. However, in advancing into Shuwa, the terrorists succeeded in causing residents around Kirchangha in Madagali to flee, by shooting sporadically around the area, a community leader anonymously reported. Regardless, two houses and a shop were allegedly set ablaze by the receding insurgents.Reports disclose a number of six casualties in the event.
Meanwhile, the Public Relations Officer of Adamawa State Command, Mr. Othman Abubakar, reported that they were yet to receive official report on the attack. In related news, Michika and Madagali LGAs had been captured by Terrorists in 2014, and have since been recovering from devastation where lives were lost and residents, displaced.
