
Troops Kill Scores of Boko Haram Terrorists in Yobe
Major Nureni Alimi, Assistant Director, Public Relations attached to the 27 Task Force Brigade revealed in a statement on Monday 21st January, the killing of scores of suspected terrorists by troops of the Brigade in Buni- Yadi, Yobe state, after the launch of an attack on the military base. The insurgents reportedly attacked at about 4:15 p.m on Sunday 20th January, engaging the soldiers for closely three hours.
While most reportedly died, some terrorists as well as four soldiers gained injuries in the course of battle. Further, ammunition, guns, bombs and gun trucks were recovered from the insurgents. According to Alimi, the injured soldiers were being treated at a hospital at the time of granting the interview.
