Terrorists killed by Troops in Renewed Baga Attack
Five suspected members of the Boko Haram have been reportedly killed by troops in Baga town, Borno, as disclosed by the Deputy Director of Public Relations Operation Lafiya Dole, on Sunday 20th January. According to him, personnel of the Nigerian Army, Navy and Air Force constituted a joint force of the troop deployed to Borno state to engage the terrorists on Saturday 19th January.
The Insurgents were allegedly armed with two gun trucks, a vehicle loaded with Improvised Explosive Device (IED) and a suicide bomber, he added. The terrorists are reported to have lost to the army while fighting to break into their ‘formidable’ defensive position, overriding all of the attackers reportedly five in number.
