
Military Aircraft Detects Terrorist Training Camp, Destroy Facilities and Neutralize Several in Borno
In a wipe-out operation conducted by troops of the Nigerian Air Task Force (ATF) of the Operation Lafiya Dole on Sunday 10th February, several ISWAP (Islamic State of West Africa Province) terrorists have been reportedly left dead, while a training camp operated by them, destroyed. This was disclosed in a statement made by the Director of Public Relations, Commodore Ibikunle.
According to him, several structures, equipment, vehicles and movements concealed beneath the thick vegetation of the area was detected by a surveillance aircraft belonging to the ATF. Consequently, aircraft were dispatched to drop bombs at the location, resulting in massive fires and destruction of several terrorists within the area. This was revealed in a Battle Damage Assessment (BDA) by NAF and allied ISR.
