Kaduna state governor, Nasir El-Rufai says he is saddened by the violence and killings in the state and has vowed to punish the perpetrators. He gave the assurance in a state-wide broadcast in Kaduna, the state capital.

He said, “I address you today, with a heavy heart, saddened by the violence and loss of lives in parts of our state since Thursday, the 18th of October 2018, when unrest broke out in Kaso Magani”.

He condemned the violence and extend his sympathy to the victims, the survivors and their families. He assured that everyone affected will get justice and that criminals will be punished according to the law
