The Bayelsa state government on Sunday ordered an immediate closure of schools to avoid loss of lives in the flood currently ravaging the state. According to the commissioner for information and orientation, residents are advised to stay calm as the government is working assiduously to cushion the effect of the disaster in the affected communities.
