Two aircraft of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) have crashed in Abuja. According to Nigeria Airforce (NAF) Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, the air accident occurred during rehearsals for the Independence day celebrations.

The incidence took place at the Mpape district of Abuja which is adjacent to Maitama district. Daramola, however, did not state if the accident was a collision or a crash. No life was lost in the crash.
