No fewer than 10 persons were reportedly killed in a clash between herdsmen and farmers in  Gora Village, Safana local government area of Katsina State. The victims were among the men, who visited the farm of another resident, who was killed on the same day by a suspected herdsman.

It was learnt that the herdsman killed the farmer when the deceased accosted him for grazing his cattle on his farm. This led to a retaliative attacks, which escalated violence in the area.
